I will show you your connection with the five elements - Water
This is 2nd of 5 posts in the series " promises to my daughter - I will show you your connection with the five elements - " This one is about water.
Dear Dhaani,
Supposedly there are only 2 types of people in the world. Mountains people and beach people.
If this were true, your mumma - pappa would definitely be the beach people. The lakes, seas, oceans have always serenaded them. They have called them to spend days and nights by their shores. The vastness of the blue element makes them realize the sheer vastness of nature. It also allows them to be one with the universe.
Another form of water which has enchanted them always is rains. Thankfully in India, we have the rain gods smiling in abundance. Your paternal home, Gaya and maternal home Ranchi, have both been bestowed sufficiently by Indra Deva ( the rain God). When she was doing her MBA, your mumma was in Kerala. Which is called " Gods own country" for the scenic beauty it exuberates throughout the year - and especially during monsoon. You were born in Mumbai, which is loved for so many things, amongst which Mumbai rains is among the toppers.
Maybe because of the above, your connection with water has been automatic. I remember when you were 8 months old and witnessed your first Mumbai rains - in Sep 2017. I just showed you to extend one hand and collect the droplets. You took to this game so well. Everytime you saw rains, you would come to pappa and ask him to take you down/ at the balcony where you would extend your tiny hands to collect some droplets and say in your sweet words - Paani.
Our first outstation trip when Himani was in her 3rd trimester, was to Goa. This was also your onboarding to the family tradition of biannual trips to the most amazing place on earth - Goa. That trip will be edged in our memories as the most amazing trip to this place - for it was our first trip with you joining us , albeit within your momma's belly.
You first Birthday celebration was also in Goa. You took to the sea like a fish ( and like your mother who is a pisces). You spent hours doing chappak chappak at the shore and we were terrified that you will catch cold. But we were also happy to have another water baby in the family.

Dhaani , always keep your connection with this amazing element alive. Water not only enriches our body and health, it fills our souls as well. It is our connect with all the other elements.
