Why This Blog
This is my 35th year on this planet. And the best way to look at these 35 years would be before my daughter was born and after. It was June 2016 when we got to know that we are pregnant, and life changed. Slowly, gradually and then all at once. Parenthood, for both of us; and fatherhood, for me, has been the proverbial life-changing experience. It was an explosion of emotions, fear, anxiety, love, celebration and what not. I have been trying to word this feeling exactly without much successl. The one which came closest is this - giving birth to a child is like allowing your heart to get out of your body and play out in the open. Its just like that. What the whole experience has taught me is that women are supreme. We men, cannot even come halfway close to what they are capable of. My respect for my wife has gone through the roof during these last 2 and a half years. At the same time, i have come to realize a hidden respect for myself. Fatherhood has changed me completely.
